$15 SDHC members; $25 general admission

This introductory workshop for budding oral historians will discuss the importance of oral history and how to do it, how to select recording equipment, how to use SDHC archival resources, and how to transcribe an preserve interviews.

Taught by SDHC Oral Historian Amanda Tewes and Archivist Jane Kenealy, this workshop is perfect for those interested in starting family, community, and academic oral history projects.

Bi-National Effort Kicks Off to Receive UNESCO World Heritage Status for El Camino Real de las Californias
El Camino Real de las Californias UNESCO Nomination Project press conference held at the historic San Diego Presidio site on October 20, 2015. A Great Meeting

Congress of History would like to thank the Lemon Grove Historical Museum for hosting our final meeting till our 2016 Conference to be held Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the OASIS San Diego FacilityMission Valley Shopping Mall, 1702 Camino del Rio North (off Hwy. 8), in San Diego, CA 92108, on the third floor of Macy’s (the Macy’s clothing store, on the southeast corner of the mall, off Camino del Rio North). Lots of free, off-street parking is next to the store.


The COH members took in the Parsonage Museum and then a walk down to view the historical mural located at the rear of the Grove Bakery and Pastry shop.
